Ingredients :
For Ragda :
- white peas - ½ katori
- tejpatta - 1
- turmeric powder- 1 tsp
- salt - as per taste
- jeera - 1 tsp
- oil - 1 tsp
For Pattice :
- Boiled mash potato - 2
- haldi powder - ½ tsp
- hing - ½ tsp
- dhaniya jeera powder - 1 tsp
- salt to taste
- chaat masala - pinch
- chili ginger paste - 1 tsp
Other ingredients :
- finely chopped onion - 1 tablespoon
- finely chopped tomato -1 tablespoon
- finely chopped coriander leaves - 1 teaspoon
- mint chutney - 1 teaspoon 'tamarind chutney -1 teaspoon
- pomegranate -1 tablespoon
- Chaat masala - to taste
Method :
Ragda ::
- soaked white peas for 7-8 hours
- pressure cook white peas upto 4-5 whistles
- heat the plan and add oil
- add jeera in it once it crackled add tejpatta and haldi powder
- add salt to taste
- ragda is ready
Pattice:
- in a mixing bowl take Peeled mashed potato with spices mentioned for pattice
- shape them into tiikis
- and shallow fry them on pan from both the side till become golden brown in color
Serving - Ragda Pattice Plate :
- place 2 tikkis / pattice in bowl
- pour ragda on it
- add finely chopped onion and tomato on it
- add both chutneys on it
- sprinkle pomegranate on it
- garnish it with coriander leaves and chaat masala
- serve hot
