Ingredients :
- rice- 1 katori
- moong dal, chana dal, udad dal , masoor dal , tur dal , chilka moong dal - ½ katori each
- methi seeds - 1 teaspoon
- green chilies- 7-8 (as per taste)
- ginger 1 inch
- garlic - 9-10 cloves
- finely chopped coriander leaves - 1 katori
- finely chopped onion - 1 katori
- finely chopped tomato - ½ katori
- finely chopped capsicum and bell peppers - ½ katori
- grated carrot - ½ katori
- grated beetroot - ½ katori
- boiled sweet corn - 1 katori
- salt to taste
- suagr - 1 teaspoon
- oil
Method :
- in a bowl add rice and all mix dal wash it for 2-3 times and add fresh water
- add methi seeds in it and soak it for 6-7 hours
- drain the water after 6 hours
- take mixer jar add all dals rice and methi seeds in mixer jar
- add green chili , garlic and ginger in it
- add ½ cup water and make a smooth batter
- add water to adjust consistency
- pour the batter into bowl
- add salt and sugar to taste
- mix well
- keep it aside for 10-20 minutes
- take a mixing bowl - add chopped and grated veggies - sprinkle some salt and chaat masala on it and mix well
- add this veggies mix in dal appam batter
- heat the appam pan
- grease with oil
- once the pan is hot enough
- pour the batter
- cook it from both the side nicely till become golden brown by covering it withlid
- serve hot with sambhar or chutney
