Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Watercress Seeds or Halim or Aliv or Garden cress seeds
- 1 cup jaggery
- 1/2 cup dessicated coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- 1/4 cup chopped pista
- 1/2 cup chopped walnut
- 1/2 cup chopped cashews
- 1/4 cup watermelon seeds
- 1/4 cup muskmelon seeds
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
- 1/4 cup poppy seeds
- 1/4 cup black sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup white sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup black raisins
Method:
- Heat ghee on a low and roast all the seeds and chopped nuts with the dry fruits as well accordingly. Do not increase the heat. And do it with a little patience until they are roasted well with an amazing aroma. This doesn't take much time. They get done real quick. Set aside.
- To the same pan, add jaggery and allow it to melt completely. Then add the soaked halim seeds. Next is the time to add the nuts, dry fruits and the seeds. Also add the dessicated coconut. Mix well and roast for about 2-3 minutes or until the mix gets done and leaves the sides of the pan. Addition of ghee can be one's own choice. I have used about 3 tablespoon of it.
- Spread the mix on a wide plate. Let it cool down a bit before making laddus that are not very big. Keep them small. Let it refrigerate for an hour or so if desired or serve them right away. It's one's own choice. Dig in! Yum!
- The best part about these laddoos is that these can be stored in airtight containers in the refrigerator and relished for over a Month or more. Serve one with a glass of Milk on a daily basis to all the family members. Enjoy!
