*Ingredients*
A. *Outer Covering*
• wheat flour - 1 cup
• oil - 1 tblsp
• milk and water as per required
• salt -pinch
B. *stuffing*
• grated fresh coconut - 1 cup
• jaggery - 1 cup
• golden kishmish - 10-15
• cardamom powder.- 1/2 tsp
• nutmeg powder - 1/4 tsp
• finely chopped almonds and cashews - 1 tsp
C. *Other ingredients*
• ghee
*METHOD*
A *Stiffing*
1. heat the pan add coconut and jaggery in it
2. mix well
3. cook it for 3-4 min (til coconut cooks and evaporate 80% water)
4. add kishmish , nutmeg powder and cardamom powder, chopped nuts in it .. mix well
5. cook it for 2 minutes
6. add 1 tsp ghee in it
7. keep it aside and cool down completely
8. till then make outer covering
B. *Outer Covering*
1.take wheat flour in parat
2. add pinch of salt and mohan (hot oil - 1 tbsp)
3. mix well
knead a medium tight puri like dough using milk and water
C. *making and steaming modak*
1. take little pedha siza ball from dough
2. roll it (not thick not thin)
3. stuff with stuffing
4. give modak shape
5, keep them asid under wet cloth
6. heat the pan and add oil for frying
7. once the oil is hot enough fry modak in oil till become golden brown
D. *Serving*
1. take hot modak in plate
2. open the modak little bit
3. add 1 1/2 tsp of ghee on the modak
4. serve hot
